Keira
MacLachlan
Hello, my name is Keira, I’m a self-taught Brisbane based artist working in predominantly pen and ink to create realistic representations of the things I find beautiful. I have a deep appreciation for the land we live on and the plants and animals we share this space with. Much of my work is inspired by this connection, taking the beauty around me and capturing it on paper.
When I found my love of ink, I began developing the technique I use today. Whilst I still enjoy experimenting with different mediums and pushing the boundaries of my work, I always come back to my pens. I have found a great love in the simplicity of this technique and the intricacy of the finished product.
An artist &

In 2024 I will be setting off on a year-long journey following the National Trail, a 5330km trek following the east coast of Australia. I will be using this opportunity to draw and capture the unique Australian landscape and the creatures within it. To find out more about my journey, follow the link below.
